Some sad news to report on the passing of Brian Cockerill on Tuesday 28th September 2021 a prolific Street Try Scorer!!

Dear All,
Some sad news to report on the passing of Brian Cockerill on Tuesday 28th September 2021.
Our sincere condolences go out to Street regular son Steve who brought his dad to the club for many years in recent times and the family and friends on their recent loss.
Brian Cockerill played for the 1st XV in the late 1950’s and early1960’s, he was a lean and abrasive winger who became a prolific try scorer.
He held the club record for try’s when he scored 7 tries vs Cov Tech and had the honour of being the first player to kick the first ever conversion at the old Henley Road club ground.
Brians Funeral is taking place on Wednesday 3rd November 2021 at St Mary Magdalene Church at Wyken Croft at 10am followed by a burial at Lenton Lane cemetery.
TBC the wake will take place after at the Club at Broadstreet RFC.
